Day 3 Part 2: Don’t we look like a postcard?! Welcome to the Natural Bridge! This scenic route offered endless Rhododendron and endless stairs. The views were spectacular!!! Day 3, Part 1: Underground Glow Kayaking! It doesn’t get much cooler than this, folks. We had the chance to explore an only mining cave near Red River Gorge. Students learned about the difference between mining caves and natural caves, the ecological impact of mining, and some of the formations that come from this incredible stone. Our last community dinner of the semester featured a special guest. Vice provost for sustainability and climate action Shalanda Baker joined us for a farm to table dinner.
